Grantham College is a forward-thinking further education institution in Lincolnshire committed to empowering both learners and staff. We permanently adopted the 4-day work week in April 2023 — 33 hours, full pay, Fridays off.
Work Schedule
Full-time pay. Four working days. Every Friday is yours.
Who We Are
Since 1953, Grantham College has been educating the region and building community. Today, we combine a rich heritage with modern, industry-facing education across vocational and academic pathways.
We empower students with practical skills and recognised qualifications — from T Levels and vocational diplomas to degree-level programmes and apprenticeships — aligned to what employers in the region actually need.
We work hand-in-hand with Lincolnshire businesses, apprenticeship partners, and local industries to develop a skilled, regionally connected workforce. Our curriculum responds to the real demands of the labour market.
Our £2.6 million Institute of Technology equips students with hands-on experience in digital technologies and engineering — preparing them for careers in rapidly evolving sectors.
We believe every voice matters. An inclusive staff culture, flexible working policies, and strong CPD support ensure our people thrive — because their well-being directly shapes student outcomes.
What We Teach
A wide curriculum covering vocational, academic, and higher-level pathways for learners at every stage.
Staff Benefits
We invest in our staff with a benefits package that goes well beyond the standard.
Facilities
Our state-of-the-art Institute of Technology brings industry-standard digital and engineering facilities directly to Lincolnshire learners. Designed in collaboration with local employers, it bridges the gap between education and the workplace — and gives staff a genuinely exciting environment in which to teach.
Why Join Us
Beyond the 4-day week, Grantham College offers a place where educators feel genuinely supported, valued, and inspired.
Our 4-day week became permanent in April 2023 after a successful trial. This isn't a pilot or a perk that could be taken away. It's how we work — and it's reflected in our culture, not just our contracts.
With up to £750 annually for professional development, structured mentoring, and access to sector conferences, we invest meaningfully in the people who teach here.
Teaching at Grantham College means shaping the workforce of Lincolnshire. Our strong employer partnerships and apprenticeship programmes give lecturers direct visibility of where their students end up.
We're a smaller institution where individual contributions are noticed and valued. Cross-departmental projects, open communication, and a shared commitment to student success define our day-to-day culture.
